We’ve been championing the work of dexter here at TMR for a while now. Now, the South West Londoner is gearing up to drop her debut EP, I Do Love A Good Sandwich, and has drawn us in with a brand new single. ‘Still Got Time’ is a groovy track that brings together crisp, funky drums with dexter’s incredible talent for addictive melody. She explains that “This song is the second song I ever wrote and I made it in the first lockdown last year. It’s about my relationship with my dad which I don’t talk about that often and although the lyrics aren’t the happiest I still wanted to sound a bit fun and upbeat.” The sense of fun in her music is taken to another level via the homemade music video, which shows dexter rating a variety of supermarket sandwiches. -Dan Peeke
